The Mission of the Club

The mission of a Toastmasters Club is to provide a mutually supportive and positive learning environment in which every member has the opportunity to develop and practice communication and leadership skills, which in turn foster self-confidence and personal growth.

The District Mission

The mission of the district is to enhance the performance and  extend the network of clubs, thereby offering greater numbers of people the opportunity to benefit from the Toastmasters educational program by:

o Focusing on the critical success factors as specified by the district educational goals and membership goals.

o Ensuring that each club effectively fulfills its responsibilities to its members.

o Providing effective training and leadership development opportunities for club and district officers.

What is Toastmasters

Toastmasters is the best way to improve your speaking, listening, thinking and leadership skills.  Through our member clubs we offer a comprehensive program aimed at helping everyone become more effective communicators and leaders.  We are a self-paced, self-help organization dedicated to the success of our members.

District 40 has Toastmaster clubs in and around many cities and towns in Southern Ohio, Kentucky and West Virginia.  Click the Club Directory Link to the left to find a club that meets at a time and place that is convenient for you to attend.  Use the information listed to contact a member for an invitation to attend a club meeting and answer your questions about Toastmasters. Every club has its own personality so do not hesitate to contact more than one club and then decide which club can best meet your needs.
